Watermelon Basil Cooler

Ingredients

  • 4 cups seedless watermelon, cubed

  • 1 tbsp fresh lime juice

  • 6–8 fresh basil leaves, plus more for garnish

  • 1–2 tbsp honey or simple syrup, to taste

  • 1½ cups cold water or sparkling water

  • Ice, for serving


Instructions

  1. Blend the Base: In a blender, combine:

    • Watermelon

    • Basil leaves

    • Lime juice

    • Honey or simple syrup. Blend until smooth.

  2. Strain (Optional): For a smoother texture, strain the mixture through a fine mesh sieve into a pitcher to remove pulp.

  3. Add Water: Stir in cold water (or sparkling water for fizz). Taste and adjust the sweetness or lime juice as desired.

  4. Serve: Pour over ice into glasses. Garnish with basil leaves and a small watermelon wedge or lime slice.
