Strawberry Marzipan Latte

Ingredients (1 serving):

  • 2 shots freshly brewed espresso

  • 1 oz De La Rosa Mazapán (or any peanut marzipan), plus extra for topping

  • 1 cup whole milk (or substitute of choice)

  • 1 Tbsp strawberry syrup

  • Whipped cream (optional)

  • Crushed marzipan for garnish

Strawberry Syrup (makes about 1 cup)

  1. In a small saucepan, combine:

    • 1 cup strawberries, quartered (fresh or frozen)

    • ½ cup white sugar

    • ½ cup water

  2. Bring to a simmer over medium heat, stirring until sugar dissolves.

  3. Simmer for 10–12 minutes, until strawberries break down and mixture thickens slightly.

  4. Strain through a fine mesh sieve, pressing gently to extract syrup.

  5. Let cool completely before using. Store in the fridge for up to 1 week.

Latte Assembly

  1. Espresso + Marzipan:

    • Brew 2 shots of espresso.

    • While still hot, pour over 1 oz mazapán in a mug. Stir until mostly melted and blended (a few small bits are fine).

  2. Milk + Syrup:

    • Heat or steam 1 cup whole milk until hot and frothy.

    • Stir in 1 Tbsp strawberry syrup.

  3. Combine:

    • Pour the strawberry milk into the espresso-marzipan mixture. Stir gently to combine.

  4. Finish:

    • Top with whipped cream (optional).

    • Sprinkle with crushed mazapán and a drizzle of strawberry syrup.

For iced, cool strawberry syrup, pour the espresso-maripan mixture over ice and add cold milk.
